Neck Lift

CONVENIENTLY LOCATED TO SERVE NASHVILLE, BRENTWOOD, AND FRANKLIN

A neck lift is a minimally invasive treatment that can remove excess skin and fat from the neck to address problems such as wrinkles and creases. Sagging muscle tissue can also be tightened. A neck lift in Nashville can make the neck look slim, supple, and youthful.

Many people’s necks grow thicker and appear out of shape even if they stay at a healthy weight. The neck also develops signs of aging. Thankfully, a neck lift can do wonders to restore contours and reverse signs of aging. A neck lift can accomplish what diet and exercise cannot: tighten sagging skin and eliminate pockets of stubborn excess fat.

Can Anyone Get a Neck Lift?

The best candidates for a neck lift are those who are unsatisfied with the appearance of their neck. Most healthy people with good skin elasticity can experience excellent results.

People with serious health conditions may not qualify for this procedure. Smoking negatively affects skin elasticity, and so smokers must quit several weeks before their neck lift to achieve good results. They must also continue to avoid smoking during healing so that the recovery process is not prolonged.

After doing a good amount of research I decided to go to Dr. Paul Papillion for the neck lift procedure. This decision proved to be the correct one. Dr. Papillion and his entire staff were extremely professional. I could not be happier with the outcome of the procedure. Never did I feel I was being “sold ” anything. The amount of time the clinic spent with me before and after the procedure far exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Dr. Papillion.

What Happens During a Neck Lift?

A neck lift takes about three hours to complete. Anesthesia is administered at the start of the surgery. The procedure begins with Dr. Papillion making small incisions in front and behind your ears and/or below your chin.

The skin is gently lifted, and then excess skin is removed. This technique is called cervicoplasty. Excess fat is removed using liposuction or direct removal. The sagging platysma muscles are rejoined and tightened using internal sutures, a technique known as platysmaplasty.

The incisions are closed with stitches, and bandages are applied onto the treated area. You will need to wear a dressing underneath your chin for a short while.

What Happens After My Neck Lift?

It’s important to follow Dr. Papillion’s instructions for recovery and healing after your procedure is complete. You will need to rest for a few days and avoid hot baths. You need to elevate your head while you sleep. This will help ameliorate swelling and bruising in the area.

You will need to take time off from work. Additionally, it will be necessary to avoid physically taxing activities like heavy lifting and exercise for several weeks.

The day after treatment, Dr. Papillion will remove any drains that are placed. Stitches will be removed once a satisfactory degree of healing has taken place. After your neck has fully healed, you will be able to see the full results of the neck lift procedure.

How Much Does a Neck Lift Cost?

To determine the cost of your neck lift, several factors will be considered. The types of techniques used will affect the final price. Additionally, the anesthesia used and the time needed to perform the surgery will impact the overall cost.
