CONVENIENTLY LOCATED TO SERVE NASHVILLE, BRENTWOOD, AND FRANKLIN
A modified version of the conventional facelift, a mini facelift in Nashville is a procedure in which Dr. Paul Papillion makes smaller incisions around the patient’s hairline. This is done to lift the lower portion of the face in order to correct loose sagging skin that occurs due to aging.
Am I a Good Candidate?
You may be an appropriate candidate for this procedure if you have a small amount of sagging facial skin that you want to make firmer or tighter. A mini lift corrects and contours the lower region of the face. In a procedure such as this, sagging skin around the neck and jawline will be made firm too.
Non-smokers are ideal candidates for this surgery, as are patients who have realistic expectations. Patients must be in good overall health before this procedure, as this lowers the chance of complications.
If you don’t want to go in for a much larger (and longer) procedure, a mini facelift will suffice to define the contours of your face, giving it a more youthful and sculpted appearance. Healing time is shorter than a full facelift since there are fewer incisions involved. The smaller incisions that are made are a plus for people who are prone to post-surgical marks.
You may want to pair a mini facelift with a brow lift if you are also interested in tightening the skin around your eyes and forehead.
Before this procedure, you must meet with Dr. Papillion. This is crucial to help you understand the details of the surgical process from start to finish. When you consult with Dr. Papillion, you will discuss your goals for the procedure, and he will explain how these can be met. He will also answer any questions you may have.
What Is Involved?
A mini facelift is done under general anesthesia. Dr. Papillion will first make very tiny incisions around the hairline and/or above the ears. With extreme precision, he will manipulate underlying skin tissues in such a way as to lift them. He will pull the tissues of the skin in an upward direction through the areas of the cheeks.
Excess tissue is removed in the process as well, and external facial skin is given a tighter, firmer appearance. In this face-contouring surgery, Dr. Papillion will use sutures to stitch up the skin after the lifting is completed.
Dr. Papillion is a very considerate, skilled, and conscientious physician. He took his time to answer all questions and alleviate any concerns that I had. I could not be happier with the outcome, he did exactly what I asked for. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Papillion consider a lower mini facelift and fat transfer.
After surgery, you will likely be sent home with bandages on the incision areas. You may also have drains to drain extra fluid. Right after a mini facelift, Dr. Papillion will instruct you not to partake in any heavy-duty activities, such as high-intensity workout regimens and sports. You may experience some pain, which can be addressed with painkillers as prescribed.
Stitches are removed after around ten days or so during a follow-up consultation. During this time, Dr. Papillion will ensure that your healing process is going as expected.
