This patient came to see me after having a breast augmentation. She needed a breast lift at the initial surgery, but her prior surgeon did not recommend it. After exchanging the breast implants and performing a lift, she has much better overall appearance to the breast. The side view is most telling.

This is unfortunately one of my patients who had a left capsular contracture soon after surgery. Her revision consisted of removing the scar tissue, and exchanging both breast implants. She desired to increase her breast implant size at the time of the revision. She now has 520cc gel implants in place.

This patient unfortunately developed ongoing downward movement of the breast implant. “Bottoming out” is a common term used when the implant sits too low in relation to the breast tissues. Her surgery included resetting the bottom of the breast to restore the appropriate position of the breast implant.
